My name is Dana, and I’m the creator of Big Hair Bigger Heart – a site dedicated to cultivating honest and thoughtful conversations about natural hair, self-love, and living a purposeful life. My vision for this platform is two-fold: to document and share some of the lessons I’ve learned since I made the decision to embrace my natural hair (that’s the “big hair” focus), and to reflect on personal experiences and issues that are near to my heart (that’s the “bigger heart” focus). Every now and then, the two overlap in unexpected ways.

In my free time,  you can usually find me at a dance class, trying out a new recipe, or spending quality time with family and friends.
